How long has it been since you’ve visited our office? If you answered, “too long,” you aren’t alone. According to a new survey by Delta Dental, more than 40 percent of Americans see their dentists less often than they would like. It shows that many people are aware of the importance of oral health, yet still do not make time for it.
If you are among those who perpetually postpone dental care, it is time to start giving your smile higher priority in your schedule. Here are three reasons, according to the same survey:
- Seven out of ten adults agree that oral health affects general health
- People who are happy with their oral health are nearly twice as likely to be happy with their overall wellbeing
- Two out of three adults agree say that good oral health boosts confidence
